Training and certification

Training for the people who work in our homes.

Recorded lessons in English and Spanish, a certificate for finishing them, and a separate professional certification that a person observes and scores.

Not open yet. The lessons and assessments are still being finished and checked, and no one has been certified yet. We have not set a price. Tell us below and we will write to you the day it opens.

How it will work

There are three separate steps. Finishing one does not mean the next is done.

  1. Learn

Short recorded lessons with the same words in English and Spanish, one task at a time. Each lesson stops to ask what you would do.

  2. Foundations Certificate of Completion

Earned by finishing the Foundations training. It shows you completed the training. It is not a professional certification.

  3. Certified Household Professional

A professional credential that needs an observed practical assessment by a person. Not everyone who completes Foundations will earn it.

What earns each credential

Foundations Certificate of Completion

  • Registration complete and the required lessons or sessions attended.
  • The workbook activities done.
  • The signed Professional Standards and Confidentiality Agreement.
  • The Foundations Knowledge Check passed with a score of 80% or higher, including the scenario questions.
  • Any required review or retake finished.

Certified Household Professional

A person watches you do the work and scores five areas:

  • Technical Skill
  • Reliability
  • Discretion
  • Systems Support
  • Professional Presence

Each area is scored Not Yet, Developing, Proficient or Exemplary. Certification needs Proficient or higher in every area. If you are not there yet, you get targeted re-training and another assessment.

Hiring someone with a Ready & Refined certificate? Type the number printed on it, or scan its QR code, to see that it is real and still valid.

Check a certificate

Certification is not a job. A certificate does not promise a placement. Placement is its own step. Any introduction to a household is reviewed by our team first, and it goes forward only with the agreement of both the household and the person.

What the training will cover

  • Conduct and privacyProfessional conduct, confidentiality and respect for the home.
  • CommunicationDaily updates, and how to raise a concern.
  • Time and workflowPlanning the day and finishing what you start.
  • JudgmentWhen to pause, protect, ask and report.
  • Systems and qualityHousehold routines, logs and finishing standards.
  • Cleaning and surface careRoom by room, kitchen first.

Topics may change before opening. We will update this page when they are final.

Questions

Is training open now?

No. The lessons and assessments are still being finished and checked. Use the form below and we will write to you the day it opens.

How much will it cost?

We have not set a price. We will not set one until the training is finished and has been independently checked.

Is it in Spanish?

Yes. Every lesson is planned in English and Spanish, with the same words in both.

Does a certificate mean I will get a job?

No. A certificate does not promise a placement. Placement is a separate step and needs the agreement of both the household and the person.

What is the difference between the two credentials?

The Foundations Certificate of Completion shows you finished the training. Certified Household Professional is a professional credential that also needs an observed practical assessment.

How do I check that a certificate is real?

Every Ready & Refined certificate has its own number. Type it on our certificate check page, or scan the QR code on the certificate. The page shows whether the certificate is valid and when it was issued.

What can I get right now?

The bilingual booklets are available today. They support, and do not replace, each household’s own instructions, training and supervision.
